Day 11: Goodbye Hurtigruten, Hello Bergen

Today was our last day on the ship.  The scenery continued to be amazing.  We loved the boat trip.
The arctic circle was beautiful with very few people living there. We were surprised how many of the
guests were from Norway. Many of them have waited for years to see this part of their country.

We stopped at two towns today before we got to Bergen, our final destination.  This is a photo of the town of Kristiansund.  Like the other towns we've visited it is a mixture of charming house and lots of industry. Every little town had it's own special charm.

This cute dog was sitting on a doc across the fjord from out boat.  Mitzi's camera is awesome.

We also stopped in Molde.  Both of us were too freaked out from nearly missing the boat yesterday so we stayed on the ship.  Modle has an international jazz festival, which sounds great.  The photo is of a hotel on the water.

Finally we said goodbye to our new friends on the ship. This is a Norwegian mother and daughter whom we became great friends with. We are planing to visit daughter when we are back in Oslo.

Connie rocked again on getting us a wonderful hotel in Bergen. We have a big bathroom with
a large tub & walk-in shower.  This is one of the older hotels in Bergen.

We're in the second building from the left on the top floor.  Below is a photo out of our window of the harbor in Bergen.

As soon as we put our bags in the room, we took the funicular up to the top of Bergen and it was sunny and the view was beautiful.

We were so exited that our hotel room is in one of "typical" Bergen buildings, we decided to ham it up a bit. The queen waving from the window.
