Day 12: Post Office & Penguins

We woke up to another glorious view of the harbor at Bergen.  It was sunny for the second day in a row, which seems like some kind of record here.  Everyone warned us about the rain.

Not surprising, we brought too many clothes so we both sent home a box to lighten our load.  We'll be on a bus tomorrow and one suitcase less will be a miracle. Thank you Carol for telling where the Post Office was. Very easy to send a box home.

After going to the post office, we went to the Bergen Museum of Art and saw another Edvard Munch exhibit.  It was great. Also saw some great paintings from other Norwegian Artists.

We then took a walk across town and went to the aquarium.  There were lots of penguin babies and teenagers--very cute.  It was fun to watch their interactions.

We got on a very small local ferry to ride across the bay to our hotel.

And we had a great meal to end the day.  This is halibut, mussel soup, and Norwegian ham with three kinds of aquavit.

We are looking forward to taking the bus to Skjolden tomorrow to meet Connie's cousins.
